Abstract (EN)

One of the most important products of our written and spoken literature is "folk songs". Anatolian people have been expressing their joy, sorrow, nuisance, anger, longing through these folk songs for centuries and they still use it for the same purposes. By this way, folk songs provide cultural transmission by transmitting values and cultural elements from generation to generation. This cultural transmission can be seen in folk songs of Kütahya which is fed from a rich, cultural inheritance. Values, without doubt, are one of the main factors what makes a human, human. Compassionate, helpful and tolerant people are raised by means of values. Values not only effect individuals' development, but also effect the progress of the society in a good way. Therefore, education of values is needed in order to raise healthier generations and societies. It is important to use different methods and techniques to gain and embody the values included in the affective dimension of education. For this reason, in our study, the importance of using folk songs in the Religious Culture and Ethical Knowledge Lesson in terms of both providing cultural transfer and facilitating the acquisition of value has been tried to be shown.
