Prof. Dr. Selami SÖNMEZ The main goal of this research was to evaluate democratics of school's and family's environments and describe the effects of schools and families on the primary school students in the process of gaining democratic behaviours. The research was based on descriptive model. First, the conceptual context of the research was constructed and then questionnaire was developed in order to collect the necessary data. For this aim, related literatures on the subject were studied. The research was divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, the problem, goals, importances, assumptions and constraints of the research were described. The conceptual base of the research was examined in the second chapter. Third chapter explained the research methodology, which describes the population, sample, and the process of the research. In the fourth chapter, the collected data were analysed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows. This process included different statistical techniques like frequency distribution, percentage, Chi-square, Kendall's Tau-b tests. In the last chapter, conclusions of the research were drawn from the data analyses and the conceptual base.
