The purpose of study was to discern the attitudes toward science and technology course and whether 4th and 6th grade primary school students conceive the concepts and systems related to in our body.This study was carried out 11 different primary schools of 4th and 6th grade 1348 students in the parts of province center of Ankara during spring semester of 2006-2007 school year by employing survey method.In this study, there are two different scales one of which is a subject test to measure the level of acquiring the concepts in the units of body systems and the other scale is an attitude test to measure attitudes toward science and technology and the effects of attitudes on the learning of concepts in the units of our body systems. The reliabilities of attitudinal scale and 4th and 6th grade subject tests are 0.91, 0.81 and 0.76 in order. The data provided by the scales were tried to analyze by means of t-test, variance and correlation tests.In the findings of the study, the achievement levels and attitudes toward science and technology show no significant mean difference between grade levels as well as the achievement levels of schools that students are pursuing their education but the attitudes toward science and technology reveal a significant mean difference between genders.
