The effects of the copy theory and dominant naturalist theory on the creatvity of the 3rd grade students in the arts of education

In this thesis which was got ready about the effects of the copy theory and thedominant naturalist theory on the creativity of the 3rd grade students in the arts ofeducation, a wide literature research has been done about the issue and two differentpractical art studies with pastel paint were applied to the students.This study consists of 20 students selected from the 3rd grade students in theKorgun Primary School in Korgun district of Çankırı. The first application was donein the guidance of ?free technique? based on the ?Dominant Natural Method?. Thesubject was given as ?By the Lake? and the application started after informationabout the technique was given. During the application no intervention to the work ofthe students in any circumstance was done and none of them were directed.In the second application with the same group, the issue was the reproductionof Van Gogh?s ?Lake Side in Auvers? work. This time the basis of ?art educationbased on discipline? was carried out. In the scope of this basis four elements; arthistory, esthetics, criticism and practice were used. Opposite to the first applicationthe students were directed and interventions were done when needed.The thesis showed that effect of copy theory and the dominant naturalisttheory on 3rd grade students? creativity vary one to the other. Secondly it showed thatthere is not an only result; the students affected linear maturation of some students,where as in some it affected negatively. Likewise some were not affected from anyof the applications, did whatever they wanted.As a conclusion, it is stated that the effects of copy theory and the dominantnaturalist theory in the arts education the among the primary school 3rd gradestudents, whose ages vary from 7 to 9, vary according to the level of linearmaturation of the students.
