The creativity of the method of story telling during the lesson of the educatin of visual arts fifth grade students of primary educatin

The major objective of the study is to investigate the effect of the method of Story Telling to the creativity of 5th grade students of primary schools during the couse of The Education of Visual ArtsThis is an experimental study. During the study, the experimental group received their task of drawing with the training of Story Telling, the control group just followed the traditional method of task completion. Both groups had the same topic called ?The Journey to the Moon.? The evaluation is done by a group of experts using ?The Evaluation Criteria of Creativity for 5th Grade Students.? The results were obtained through a computer by the researcher herself.The general setting of the research was the 5th grade students of Ankara region and the experimental group of the study was the students of Akkuzulu Primary School of Cubuk district of Ankara. The number of students participated to the study was 30, their age range was between 9 and 11.Results indicated that those received the method of Story Telling during their tasks were significantly beter at producing more imaginary stuations and ideas; creating more concrete elements within the framework of the task they were given, and they were again much beter at integrating their topic with their creativity and having a beter focus on the target subject than the traditinal group.The result of the study clearly indicated that the method of Story Telling had a significant positive effect on the creativity of the 5th grade students of primary schools for he lesson of the Education of Visual arts.Key terms: Visual Arts, Story, The Method of Story Telling, Creativity.
