Abstract (EN)

SUMMARYANALYSIS OF STATE ANXIETY AND ATTITUDE TO FUNDAMENTAL LECTURES OF THE STUDENTS WHO ARE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL WITH RESPECT TO GENDER AND ACADEMICAL ACHIEVEMENTThe aim of the study is to investigate whether attitude anxiety towards science and technology, mathematic, Turkish and social courses generate a significant difference with respect to gender and achievement situation, furthermore to investigate the relation among each other of the state anxiety level in science and technology, mathematic, Turkish and social courses,The case study was conducted in a official primary scholl in the city of Sakarya at the second term of 2009-2010 teaching year. Research was conducted on 107 (43%) were female and 142 (57%) male with o total of 249 elementary school students in Sakarya. As the data collection tools, attitude and state anxiety scales in science and technology course, mathematic course, Turkish course and social courses and also SBS of 2010 scores which is examined by National Education Ministry was used. In the tested of research questions, ?Pearson?s parameter, ANOVA and Single Direction Variance t-Test? were used.Results of research indicated that, state anxiety level in Science and Technology, Mathematic, Turkish and Social Courses of students affect each other with variable ratios. These rations for between Turkish and Social Courses of % 4, between Mathematic and Social Courses of % 6, between Turkish and Mathematic of % 9, Science and Technology and Turkish of % 5, Science and Technology and Social Courses of % 15, Science and Technology and Mathematic of % 14 were found. There is a significant difference between attitude scores of Turkish course and gender variable, there is not significant relation between gender and academic achievement and also there is not a significant difference between academic and attitude scores and Mathematic and Social Studies classes but a significant difference was established between average attitude scores in science and Turkish courses and academically achievement of the student in these courses.Key Words: Achievement, Attitude, Gender, Mathematic Course, Science and Technology Course, Social Courses, State Anxiety, Turkish Course
