The realization of the museum education in the interactive medium in the primary education secont stage virsual arts classes

Museums and art galleries are considered as centres for art education other than schools, however, for various reasons, many of the primary school students cannot visit museums or cannot take advantage of them adequately. In this research, we focus on the interactive presentation of the museum education in the primary education second stage visual arts classes as an alternative to the museum based education which cannot be realized in the primary schools. It has been searched to see whether the preparation and presentation of an interactive education CD have an effect on the success and persistency.In the study, we have taken advantage of the literature scanning as well as quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. In this context, the study has been carried out on the pattern with the pretest-posttest control group by using ?the multiple subject-double factors experimental pattern?.During the study; two different education methods have been used in the teaching of the museum based topics within the Visual Arts Course in the 7th year of the primary school. One group has been tested with the traditional education method realized within the possibilities of that group and the other has been tested with the ?computer aided interactive education method? in the scope of the topic. The test group has been applied with the interactive education method in digital environment by taking advantage of Discipline-Based Art Education method.According to the general result obtained in this study, there is a significant difference among the test group and the control group. It has been seen that giving lessons with the museum education CD containing the museum based topics within the Visual Arts Course in the 7th year was effective in the success and persistency of the knowledge. The opinions of the teachers and students about the course applications with the Museum Based Education CD are positive.
