Abstract (EN)
SUMMARY While teaching music, it is important to teach the subject to the target extend with all dimensions and all aspects.lt is needed to make students familiar with general music culture for their future life. Music lessons backed by musical insturement training motivates the students and enable them to put their knowlege into practice and helps to perfom a proper music lesson. Therefore this study aims at determining the extend to which music teachers is able to use their insturements. To achieve this aim, a questionairre was applied to 40 teachers working in Ankara, Bolu, Tokat, and all outcomes of the study were shown as tables and interpereted. Besides primary school music curriculum, teachers' views and possible contributions. According to the result of this research, primary school music teachers can not use their instruments, as a result of some shortcomings concerning time, curriculum and instruments and related metarials. Thus the music lesson cannot fulfil its aim. The Ministry of National Education cannot offer needed opportunities and do positive activities necessary for a proficient musical education and a capable music teacher.
