Özet (EN)
The objective of this study is to find out the perceptions of teachers? about the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors on Contemporary Educational Supervision Principles and Clinical Supervision and thus to determine whether the perceptions of teachers show statistically significant differences according to their individual variables. The population of the study consists of public elementary school teachers working in the European side of Istanbul. The sample size of the study consisted of 30 schools from five different counties which were randomly selected by considering the size of the schools in terms of the number of teachers. The number of the teachers who actively participated in this study amounts to 634 teachers. The questionnaire developed by the researcher was used to find out the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors regarding Contemporary Educational Supervision Principles and Clinical Supervision. On analyzing the data collected through the questionnaire, Standard deviation, frequency, percentage and mean scores were duly calculated. In order to determine the differences according to specified variables such as gender, level of education, Professional seniority and school size (the number of the teachers), t-test, one-way- ANOVA and Post Hoc Tests were used accordingly. According to results of the study as follows; 1. Mean scores ( X =2,85) on the perceptions of teachers? about the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors concerning Contemporary Educational Supervision Principles resulted in moderate mean which means ?I moderately agree? 2. Mean scores ( X =2,92) on the perceptions of teachers? about the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors concerning Clinical Supervision also resulted in moderate mean which means ?I moderately agree? 3. When the perceptions of teachers? about the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors on Contemporary Educational Supervision Principles and Clinical Supervision are compared, a significant diffrence was found between two dimensions. The perceptions of teachers? about the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors on Clinical Supervision are more positive than their perceptions about the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors on Contemporary Educational Supervision Principles. 4. A non significant difference was found related to the perceptions of teachers? about the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors on Contemporary Educational Supervision Principles in term of gender, level of education, and school size (the number of the teachers). On the other hand, significant differences were found in terms of Professional seniority. 5. In terms of the perceptions of teachers? about the behaviours of Elemantary School Supervisors on Clinical Supervision, no statistical difference was found related to gender, level of education, Professional seniority and school size (the number of the teachers),
