Research of ethical behaviours of primary school managers

ABSTRACTAim of this research; is to define, analyze, evaluate and investigate the degree ofschool managers? obeying to ethical behavior rules as tolerance, equity, responsibility,honesty, democracy and respect according to the views of teachers working in primaryschools and is to explain the ethical behaviors to people concerned what the ethical principlesa school manager needs to have.As a tool to get datum, the survey, prepared by Prof. Dr. İnayet Pehlivan Aydın, wasused in order to analyze the ethical behaviors of lyceé managers. The survey used in theresearch consists of two parts. Within the first part; general explanations about the survey andinformation form about the teachers participated at the research. Within the second part thereare 79 questions aiming to evaluate the ethical behaviors of primary school managers. 1816branch and 1057 class teachers working in Ankara, Mamak constitute the universe of theresearch. One hundred percent of 2873 teachers working in Mamak is the sample of theresearch. While analyzing the data gathered by the help of the survey, SPSS program wasused.The sub-problems of the research are whether the teachers? views about schoolmanagers? ethical behaviors differ meaningfully according to seniority, sex and ages ofteachers. While evaluating the data; standard deviation, frequency, arithmetical average andpercentage techniques were used. Answers given to the survey were measured and evaluatedaccording to fivefold likert.According to the views of the teachers participated to the research, most appliedethical behavior of the school managers is ?respect? and the least applied ethical behavior is?tolerance?. According to the research results; when the average point of all the rules wastaken into account, ?school managers generally behaves appropriate to the ethical rules?.
