The teacher's a- type personality traifs and job- satistactions's relationships who work at offical schols

This research investigates the relationships among teachers A-type personality traifs and jobsatistactions,who work official schools.The implementation of the study was done the schools at Viranşehir, Siverek and center ofŞanlıurfa, 2008-2009 academic years. The sample of the study consisted of 283 teachersworking at 15 elemantary schools.During the study, the following issues were investigated. These were: teachers? workingplaces, relationships among teachers, salery, adminisistration styles, teachers? success,teachers? ages, married or not married, male or female, departments they gradueted, workingyears, academic carears, working styles, montly income, and comperasions of the jobsatisfactionwith other teachers.Data were collected by Using the Personalituy Inventory Survey developed by Rathus andNevid (1989) and adapted by Batıgün and Şahin ( 2006 ) in the Turkish context . The jobsatisfactionscale was developed by the researchers. In this process, the items on the scalewere obtained via the related studies done in the literature. The scale consists of 57 itemsunder 18 sub-topics and has arranged 5-likert styles. In the data analysis process SPSS pacetprogrammes were used. In order to find the differences among groups ?independent sample ttest?, `?ANOVA `? ve `?LSD tests?? were used.According to the statististical analysisi, the fallowing resualts optained.1. Significant differences were found among the teachers? job-satisfaction, ages and teachingexperiencess. Experinced teachers? job-satisfaction was much higher then the young teachers.From this piont, we can conclued that the job-satisfaction increases in paralele to teachers?teaching expereinces and ages.2. Teachers? working conditions, faculty graduated and marriage statues influences their jobsatisfactionsdifferenetly.3- Teachers who has A-type personalty traifs gives more importances on the economicsatifaction. However, a significant ralationships were found the teachers who work atelemanatry schools and have A-type personlaity traifs. When ages are ingreased, teachers?personality traifs are also ingreased.
