Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to define the relation between the primary school teachers? perception of organizational commitment and school culture and that whether this connection varies due to the age, relation, marital status, Professional status, field and education level of the teachers or not. The paper is grouped under six chapters: Introduction, organizational commitment, school culture, methodology, results and analysis, conclusion, discussion and suggestions.The scales have been applied to the previously determined sampling group of 200 teachers in the second half of the 2006-2007 education years. The questionnaires used in the research consist of 3 parts and 46 questions: Personal Information Form with 7 questions, Organizational Commitment Scale with 18 questions and Perception of School Culture Scale with 21 questions. The reliability and applicability of the questionnaires have been tested and the reliability of the test is over %84.The frequency (f) and percentage (%) values determining the demographic characteristics of the teachers constituting the sampling group have been subtracted. Then, frequency (f), mean (x) and standard deviation (ss) points have been calculated for the points obtained from the scales. Non-parametric analysis techniques have been used for groups (n<30) that didn?t show normal distribution figures whereas parametric analysis techniques have been used for groups that showed normal distribution figures.The results have been analyzed at a .05 significance/meaning level prescribed in the SPSS for Windows 13.0 program and the results have been provided in schemas in accordance with the purposes of the research.It has been found out that the organizational commitment level of the primary school teachers is uncertain, their levels of perception of school culture in terms of effective communication is uncertain, and in other levels they are at agree level.
