Abstract (EN)
This survey is an effort to determine the relation between teachers' perception of school climate and their attitude to student mainstreaming. The survey is formed of five main sections: Introduction, Relavent Literature, Method, Findings, and Conclusion and Suggestions. Universe of the survey formed of teachers that serve in governmental primary schools in Anatolian Side of Istanbul during academic year 2006-2007. Stratified and cluster sampling methods were used in selecting the whole sample. Survey was conducted at districts of Beykoz, Üsküdar and Kadıköy where 198 students were reach at result.The survey that used ,Organizational Climate Description Questionnaire,was developed by Halping and Croft (1966)(OCDQ/ÖİBA) for determining teachers' perception of school climate. Gönül Kırcaali-İftar's study names ?Kaynaştırmaya İlişkin Görüşler? (?Opinions on Combination?) and Mehmet Özyürek's study named ?Engelli Kişilere Yönelik Değiştirilen Tutumların Sürekliliği? (?Permanency of the Changing Attitudes Toward Handicapped People?) were referred in order to determine teachers' attitute toward mainstreaming and attitude scale formed by Nesrin Özbaba (2000) was used.In the survey, it was examined whether school teachers' perception of school climate and their attitude to mainstreaming influence each other, and findings about this objective were set out in respect of sex, age, marital status, professional seniority, time served in the present school, district they work in, their department of graduation, their perception of the capabilities of the school they work, whether they have a relative in combined education, whether there is any mainstreaming student in their class, and whether they were trained about mainstreaming.In conclusion, there were no statistically significant differences found between teachers' perception of school climate and their attitude toward mainstreaming
