The evaluation of the total quality management in primary education schools according to the opinions of the teachers and administrators

This study has been carried out to evaluate the total quality management activities in primary education schools in accordance with the opinions of teachers and administrators.In this study screening model has been used. The data collection tool has got two parts. In the first part, the personal information form has been prepared in order to obtain personal information of the teachers and administrators.In second part, there are some items that contain opinions of teachers and administrators on the assessment of TQM activities in primary education schools. Scale evaluation of TQM activities has got total 52 items and consists of four subscales. The scale has been delivered out to 202 teachers and 74 administrators working in 29 primary education schools.The data obtained from this study were analyzed using the SPSS Package Program 18:00. The descriptive statistics of the data from the participants for each sub-dimension in the scale have been calculated in data analysis process. In addition, it has been identified that whether there is any significant difference between opinions in terms of investigated the effects of gender, years of service, task type, education level variables. Mann-Whitney U test was used due to t-test assumptions were not met for the two-category of gender, years of service, and the task variables in examining the significant differences in terms of specified variables. Kruskal Wallis H-Test was used for the education level variable that is four categories due to assumptions of the method of single factor analysis of variance (ANOVA) were not met in examining the significant differences in terms of specified variables. Significance level was taken as p <0.05.
