Abstract (EN)
In this search it?s tried to determine that the relationship between family factor which isn?t a mental factor and academic success of primary school students. Although schools which are formal educational institutions have a plan and work through a program, aims that are necessary for students won?t be reached. Some problems will be seen on the student?s academic developments and their orientation of school and social life. It?s a necessity that parents have to make contributions so as to solve educational problems.The study has five chapters; introduction, literature revive findings and comments, suggestions and conclusion. The dragon of the search is the city of Istanbul and schools of European Side. The sample of the research is composed of 300 students from ten public schools from ten districts in European side. Thirty students of each school were chosen for the sample.Survey method is used in this research. Questionnaire is used for gathering information. Frequency and percentages are found in statistic evaluations; chi-square analysis is used to compare student?s ideas and their mark averages.It?s concluded that students whose parents are educated and employee, giving their children pocket money, providing their children a work room, thinking their futures, helping and checking their homework?s, providing extra books except for student?s book, don?t watch TV in their working rooms, becoming aware of their marks, speaking with them about social and current topics, giving them a chance to talk and provide them a peaceful atmosphere, are in higher level success on the rate of the lower ones.
