Primary school manager's conflict management strategies' of their choice is to analyze different variables: Example of in Denizli city

The purpose of this study was to examine the conflict management strategies which primary school administrators prefer in terms of school teachers? demographic variables. This research is designed in survey model. Population of the study consisted of 2922 employed primary schools of Ministry of Education in Denizli in 2012-2013 education year. The study sample includes 323 teachers from 16 primary schools in Denizli. In the research `Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory? (developed by Rahim) was used to determine the conflict management strategies of school administrators. The findings of the study were interpreted in terms of primary school teachers? perceptions, school managers would rather use integrating, compromising, avoiding, obliging and dominating strategies. According to the gender variable especially, in the perception of male teachers?, it was seen that there were meaningful differences within the domination and avoiding strategies.According to the perceptions of teachers who are at the age of 50 or over, the school principals benefits from the compromising and integrating strategies. According to the perceptions of the teachers who have 20 years or over seniority. The school manager would rather use the compromising and integration strategies. Related to teachers perception which school manager prefers using conflict management strategies it was found out that there were no meaningful differences in the educational level and gender statistically. Findings showed that meaningful differences in integrating strategy on the perception of teachers who were participated the seminary or not.
