The managers of primary school whose achievements related with management are evaluated by the primary class teachers and spesialized teachers (exemple of Siirt)

The science of management is divided into different speciality fields. One of this fields iseducation management. When education management is applied in schools, schoolmanagement occurs. Education management takes its principles and methods from the scienceof management and also it has its own ways. Because of both the principles and methods ofthe science of management and the features of education, managers who work in primaryschools need to specialized.In our country, pre-employment education program is not applied for the managers of primaryschool. This shows the importance of pre-employment education for the managersappointment. The managers of primary school are trained in employment course and seminarsafter their appointments. Thus, the managers of primary school begin to work without havingthe knowledge of the science of management and its skills. This appointment way may affectthe success of achievements of the primary school managers which is related to management.This research is made by The Ministery of Education to search for the primary schoolmanagers achievements in management in Siirt. This research is made the way of fillingquestionnaire by the class teachers and the specialized teachers. In this questionnaire 513teachers participated, 500 (283 class teachers, 217 specialized teachers) teachers answeredcompletely. Datums are collected in 2006-2007 education year. There are some personal andsocio-demographic informations about teachers. The datums which are analysed by SPSSprogramme in computer are interpreted by the help of percentage, average, t- test and theanova test.
