Abstract (EN)
ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to evaluate the gainings of the Chapter ?I Know Myself?, which is taught at the 4th Class of Elementary Schools, by taking into consideration the opinions of Elementary Schools? 4th Class teachers and to explore the relationship between gainings and values and between skills and activities. In the study, in order to collect the data, the Likert-type poll is developed according to the teachers? views related to the gainings of Chapter ?I Know Myself?. The study depends on the poll data obtained from 80 4th Class teachers employed in the Elementary Schools of National Education Mininstry which are located at the boroughs and the center of Kırklareli. During the statistical analysis of this data, the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) is utilized. The study is applied in the Spring Term of 2006-2007 education year. At the end of the study, it is examined whether there is any difference in the Elementary Schools? 4th Class teachers? assessments about the gainings of the Chapter ?I Know Myself? by taking into account the teachers? gender, education level, years of office and their original branches. Besides, the proposals derived from the literature and the survey are given. At the end of the poll and the literature search, it is also aimed to provide thouhgt and views about the acquisition level for the gainings of this chapter and the solutions to the problems encountered while studying the chapter.
