Abstract (EN)
In the science course taught in the 3rd and 4th grades at the primary school level and in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades at the secondary school level, students have basic knowledge about discovering, questioning, producing new technologies, being curious about nature, and science and engineering applications. It is aimed to gain many skills such as being able to be With the innovative thinking skill, which is one of the skills of the science course, students are offered the opportunity to produce different and different ideas, to apply these thoughts and to carry the innovative thinking skills to their lives. In this sense, it is important to evaluate the basic elements and achievements of the primary school science curriculum in terms of innovation, which is one of the 21st century skills, and to examine the results. The main purpose of the research is to examine the elements of the primary school science curriculum in terms of innovative thinking. The data sources of the study are the primary school science curriculum. It has been seen that the special aims in the curriculum of the course are aimed at producing innovative solutions to the problems that individuals encounter. The roles of transforming knowledge into products are defined for students, and roles for teachers to guide students in product development, invention and innovation. In the proposed strategies and methods, it has been observed that the research and inquiry-based learning strategy, which allows the development of students in terms of creative thinking skills, is adopted. It is aimed that students who gain innovative thinking skills with the science, engineering and entrepreneurship applications in the program will make inventions on innovative engineering. It has been observed that there are findings related to innovation in the learning outcomes, subjects and concepts of the curriculum and in the measurement and evaluation approach. Based on the results of the research, suggestions were made such as increasing the number of achievements that will develop the innovative thoughts of the students in the achievements of the 3rd and 4th grades, and adding methods and techniques to measure innovation skills to measurement and evaluation approaches.
