Abstract (EN)

This study aims to investigate the relationship between science literacy and daily life problems among primary school students. A correlational survey model, a quantitative research method, was used. The population consists of third grade students from Yenimahalle district in Ankara. Since the scales include questions from all units in the third-grade primary school science course, the application was made to primary school fourth-grade students. Data was collected on 100 students selected through easily accessible case sampling. Data collection tools included a Personal Information Form, Science Literacy Test, and 14 Open-Ended Questions on Daily Life Problems. Additionally, the impact of parents' educational levels on students' science literacy and solve daily life problems was identified. This relationship indicates that the success of primary students in solve daily life problems is positively correlated with their level of science literacy and their parents' educational levels.
