The relationship between decision-making strategies and empathic skills of administrators and teachers in governmental primary schools (Kadıköy case study)

The current management theorists, have accepted who are knowledgeable in human relations and boosting of continuous self-improvement improves the efficiency of education in the work institutions. Teachers working in the organization of an educational institution to take place in the same attitude of success and increase efficiency. The continuous change in the administrative work of teachers and administrators who work in the educational institutions to be good human relations is important to increase the success of the organization. The general aim of the research is determination of the relationship between teachers' decision-making strategies and empathic skills in governmental primary schools administrators (director, manager and assistant principals) and teachers in Kadikoy district of Istanbul Province. In this respect, the teachers and administrators in institutions both each other, and students, and other interpersonal relationships, listening, editing and enhancements, as well as in contributing to solve the problems arising from human relationships and improved communication also contribute to increase job satisfaction and productivity has a special importance due to the presence. Research prepared in accordance with relational scanning model. The study population was composed of academic administrators and teachers working in governmental primary schools in 2012-2013 education period in Kadıkoy district of Istanbul. First, the primary schools were listed in the Kadikoy district. It has been considered to be homogenous elementary schools that represent the universe. The sample consisted of primary school teachers and administrators were listed. Data collection tools and two separate scales were used wtih a personal information form. Personal Information Form, ?Decision Strategies Scale? and Empathic Skill Scale (B)were applied. to administrators and teachers. The sample group consisted of teachers and administrators with Empathic Skill Scale (B)scores from Decision Strategies Scale and sub-dimensions of the task, seniority, age, graduation level, marital status, graduated from the faculty, maternal perception of behavior, perception of parental behavior, perception of income groups, training on the subject to determine the status of participation differ according to Kruskal-Wallis H test, differ according to gender and children to determine the status of being an independent samples t-test results of are provided. Test results obtained from the difference between the two groups is found, the source of differences (between which groups) to determine the non-parametric Mann-Whitney-U test was used. The findings from the study include: Empathic Skill Scale scores and analyzed the relationships between sub-dimensions of Decision Strategies Scale, Empathic Skill Scale dependent on the decision of the lower size was found to be a significant positive relationship. Empathetic Skills Scale Imp u ls with the decision, logical / systematic significant relationship was found between the sub-dimensions of decision and indecision.
