Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between peer bullying and tolerance tendencies in primary school children. The sample of the research which was conducted with the relational scanning model consists of 401 primary school 4th grade students who were selected by simple random sampling in the determined universe. In order to determine the tolerance tendencies of the students participating in the study, it was used to "The scale of the tolerance tendency" and used to "The peer bullying of the students: Child Form" to determine bullying levels. SPSS 20 statistical analysis package program was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the research. T-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and simple regression analysis were used to analyze the data. While there were significant differences in the gender in bullying, no significant differences were found in the terms of socioeconomic level and parental education level. In case of being exposed to bullying, significant differences were found with the educational level of the mother, but no significant differences were found with variables of gender, socioeconomic level and educational status of the father. Significant differences were found in the tolerance tendencies of the students with variables of the gender, socioeconomic level and mother's educational status. It was seen that there was no significant differences according to only the variable of father's education level. In addition, it was observed that tolerance tendencies were in a important relationship with the bullying variable, but there was no important relationship with being exposed to bullying. It was determined that the tolerance tendencies of the primary school 4 th grade students predicted bullying negatively. Keywords: Bullying, peer bullying, values, values education, tolerance.
