Abstract (EN)

This investigation was carried out on the flora İmalı Stream and surroundings (Türkoğlu-Kahramanmaraş). Türkoğlu is in the boundry of Kahramanmaraş province and in the C6 square of the Grid System. The flora of the consist of 491 species (inc.ssp. and var.), 63 families and 263 genera were determined. Of all collected specimens, 33 taxa are new records for C6 suqare. 49 (% 9.98) taxa are endemic for Turkey. The distribution of the species according to the phytogeographical elements: the rate of the Mediterranean elements 27.4, the rate of the Irano-Turanien elements % 14.8 and the rate of the Euro-Siberian elements % 3.8 has been found. The families wich have the most taxa in research area are: Legüminosae (54), Compositae (49), Cruciferae and Poaceae (48), Umbelliferae (28), Labiatae (26), Caryophylaceae (19), Liliaceae (18), Boraginaceae (17), Ranunculaceae and Papaveraceae (15), Scrophulariaceae (14). Containing the number of species the major genera in this region are as follows: Trifolium (12), Wc/a and Bromus (9), Asragalus, Papaver, Alyssum and Veronica (8), Geranium (7), Ranunculus, Cerastium, Lathyrus, Salvia, Allium and Poa (6).
