Evaluation of occupational health and safety awareness in the manufacturing industry: The case of Çankırı

The aim of thesis is to examine and determine the awareness of occupational health and safety in the manufacturing industry. In this direction, a comprehensive literature review has been made and studies that are directly compatible with our study subject have been examined in detail. Within the scope of the literature study, one-to-one interviews were held with employees experienced in the field of occupational health and safety in the manufacturing industry, and as a result of these interviews, the priority situations affecting the implementation of occupational health and safety services in the manufacturing industry were determined. In this context, a questionnaire was developed and applied to investigate occupational health and safety awareness in the manufacturing industry. In line with the survey findings, frequency analysis was performed to determine the occupational health and safety awareness of the participants. The opinions of the participants were evaluated in detail according to the frequency analysis results. As a result of these evaluations, the most important factors determining the awareness of occupational health and safety in the manufacturing industry. were examined in detail and different opinions were obtained from the experts. Within the scope of these reviews and expert opinions, some evaluations and suggestions were presented for occupational safety professionals in order to increase and develop awareness of occupational health and safety in the manufacturing industry.
