Abstract (EN)

Since the time that hadith narrations had been written down, many various hadith works have been written in terms of subject and purpose, such as musnads, sunans, jamis, mustadraks, hadith commentary books and some independent works that consisted of narrations on certain subjects. One of the prominent names in this literature with his scholarship and works is Muhammed b. Ismail al-Bukhari. He was accepted as a hadith authority and wrote works that can be considered as one of the first in his field. One of his works is a hadith juz named Birr al-walidayn. This juz which is mostly composed of the compilation of narrations about mother, father, relatives and good morals is one of the firsts in its category with its name and the subjects of the hadiths it contains. When we look at the hadith literature before Birr al-walidayn, many hadiths related to family and kinship were narrated, and works called Kitab al-birr wa'l-silah were compiled before Imam Bukhari. However, the work, which was copyrighted with a title specific to parents as "Birr al-walidayn" which means favor to parents, could not be found before Bukhari. The aim of the study is to reach the information about Birr al-walidayn, and to evaluate the narrations in the hadith juz and to contribute to the literature via the information obtained. For this reason, the information related to the work has recorded, and the chapters related to Bukhari's al-Jâmi' al-sahîh and al-Adab al-mufrad have been compared, a sanad-text study and a rijal study have been made. rulacaktır.
