Abstract (EN)

The unseen's importance and ways to know it have been studied in this thesis which is something that exists in human nature and humans are interested in as a necessity of learning the unknown. Emphasis has been put on how Allah and Prophet Mohamed has evaluated the unknown, and it has been studied that how unknown was evaluated by the first Islam scholars. In the center of this study is how Maturidi evaluated the unknown and comparisons have been made by evaluating other Islam scholars as well. We have put emphasis on the subject whether other people's knowledge based on inspirations other than prophets is binding or not which is the main discussion element by evaluating Maturidi's and other euphemists and philosophers' opinions. That in XIX. century things that weren't known and were considered as unknown before became known thanks to science, that there isn't a religion and science conflict on the contrary and a meaning has been put on Quran have been emphasized. It has been emphasized that knowledge of the unknown is necessary and important by answering to claims that there isn't anything out of rationalists and positivists' emperiments and observations in the same era, so such information can't be regarded as knowledge. Key Words: Unseen, Prophet, Maturidi, Kur'an, Knowledge.
