The efficiency analysis of the banks quoted to ISE

The presence of a strong and robust economy is possible with healthy operating and growing financial system. In Turkey, the leading companies of the financial sector is the banking system. It is targeted two objectives in this study. At first, the efficiency of 32 commercial banks which are operating in the Turkish banking sector between December 2006 and September 2009 in quarterly period balance sheets, was analized with the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) according to capital structures and scale. Then the banks which was quoted to ISE , was examined how it will effects on the efficiency and productivity for entering the equities markets. Also, Potential Improvement Analysis has been made to the banks which do not have effective management, in order to show the way.
