Abstract (EN)
Production of Streptomycin with Immobilized Streptomyces griseus Cells Antibiotics are bioactive substances commonly used in the treatment of human and animal diseases, either biologically or synthetically derived, which kill bacteria or stop their growth. Streptomycin antibiotic has an important place among aminoglycosides as it is an antibiotic used in the treatment of many diseases. In this study, free and immobilized S. griseus cells were used to investigate the effects of different temperature, different agitation rate and different carbon sources on streptomycin antibiotic production. In our study, two different media containing starch and sugar beet molasses of different standards were used as the carbon source for streptomycin production. Effects of both free bacteria cells and bacterial cells immobilized with PVA/alginate on streptomycin production were investigated. In this study, the highest value was reached with 0.986 µg / ml * hour at the end of the 3rd day in 30 g / l sugar beet used as carbon source, 33oC temperature and 200 rpm fermentation. Immobilization experiments with PVA / alginate yielded the highest efficiency at 2.019 µg / ml * h on the first day. As a result, in the experiments carried out with sugar beet molasses carbon source, streptomycin production was provided at a lower cost than starch carbon source and higher yield and efficiency values were obtained.
