Özet (EN)

Changes in oral and dental health of people over time make an impact on their quality of life. Edentulous patients suffer from masticatory deficiency, speech disorder, pain, dissatisfaction, lack of retention and stability. The fact that a conventional prosthetic therapy does not succeed in mandibular total edentulism leads to an increase in dental implant placements for such cases. Quality of life is the state of feeling better depending on one's satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Purpose of this study is to make an analysis over the impact of implant-supported prosthetic therapies on oral health, the quality of life and the quality of general state of health. The oral, life and general state of health qualities were put on an evaluation after 50 randomly-selected patients were administered an implant-supported prosthesis had been tested for OHIP-14 and OHQoL-UK surveys. Mean and standard deviation, median minimum and maximum frequency and rates were put into use for descriptive statistics of data. Distribution of variables was checked using Kolmogorov–Smirnov test. Mann-Whitney U test was adopted for the analysis of quantitative data. Spearman Correlation Analysis was performed for correlation analysis. SPSS 22.0 programme was put into use for the analyses. It was inferred from the analyses that all prosthetic therapies make a positive contribution to the quality of life for oral health. Improvement of the quality of life for oral health concordantly made a positive impact on the general state of health.
