The importance of digitalization in turkish local governments: E-municipality application example

Digitalization in local governments is the process of local governments providing their services through digital tools and platforms. This process provides a number of important benefits such as improving interaction with the public, increasing administrative efficiency, and ensuring transparency and accountability. This digital transformation process aims to both improve the internal functioning of local governments and increase the interaction and trust of local governments with the public by providing services that all segments of society can benefit from. One of the most important reflections of digitalization in local governments is the e-municipality application. E-municipality applications are a digital management model that enables the services provided by municipalities to be provided through online platforms through the digitalization of local governments. These applications enable citizens to access municipal services faster, easier, and more efficiently. E-municipality applications not only facilitate citizens' transactions, but also enable municipalities to work more efficiently, provide transparency, and increase service quality. This study also draws attention to the place and importance of e-municipality applications in local governments.
