Abstract (EN)

In this study, activities of ADA, 5? NT and GUA enzymes which participate in the nucleutide metabolism, and oxidation sensitivity test were studied in follicular fluids from 54 in vitro fertilization patients who respond weak, normal and high efficacy with the aim of gaining information about oxidant/antioxidant status of the fluids. As to the ADA activity, it has been observed that activity is lower in both study groups relative to the controls, but the difference is meaningful only in high respond group from statistical point of view. In the 5?NT and GUA activities, no meaningful differences were observed even there were slight but unmeaningful decreases in both enzyme activities in the study groups. Concerning the oxidation sensitivity values, ther were no differences between control and study groups. However, the value was higher in high respond group relative to low one. This scheme shows that there is strong protective mechanisms in high respond group against oxidant stress factors. However, it has been concluded that other oxidant/antixidant parameters including enzymatic and non enzymatic ones should also be studied by using more samples to obtain more correct information about the case.
