Abstract (EN)
In this study, antifungal activities of methanol and n-hexane extracts from nine different plant species (Rosmarinus officinalis, Peganum harmala, Aesculus hippocastanum, Prunus mahaleb, Santalum album, Chelidonium majus, Tragopogon pratensis, Isatis tinctoria, Pistacia terebinthus) that grow naturally in the flora of our country against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cucumerinum (FOC) under in vitro and in vivo conditions were investigated. Antifungal activity studies were determined using 1, 2, 5, 10 mg/ml doses of extracts in vitro (on PDA) and in vivo (on cucumber) under conditions. Mycelium development (mm), mycelium development inhibitions (%) and lesion development (mm) and letal dose values of extracts were calculated by plant extracts against FOC. The highest effects of extracts against the pathogen were 79% and 81%, respectively, in BT (rosemary) and MNM (terebinth) methanol extracts. N-hexan extract was found to be 80% and 76% respectively in BT and ÇÇ (dyers woad). In addition, the LD50 values were calculated for BT and MNM methanol as 2.1 and 3.1 mg/ml, respectively, and for n-hexan as 4.3 mg/ml in BT and ÇÇ. In vivo studies, similar results were obtained with in vitro studies and 84% effects were found in the highest MNM methanol extract against the pathogen tested. According to these results, antifungal activity levels were increased depending on the dose amount of the extracts used.
