Adıyaman province within the framework of ethnology of faith music the tradition of flame faith music in Bulam town

The most significant effect in Alevi belief, which existed until today by the oral tradition, is undoubtedly music and the greatest effect of oral tradition is being remembered easily and using the gestures, mimics, music and folk-rational rituals during the transferring to next generations. In this context, it is obvious that the Alevi music is inevitable factors for the transfer of Alevi belief to the new generations. Adıyaman having an important position in Turkey's geography, is located in both East and Southeast part of Anatolia, has a great strategic importance. For this reason, it has a cosmopolitan structure that hosts many culture. The Alevi culture has a dynamic form in Adıyaman where the Alevi citizens are concentrated in certain regions. In Adıyaman the Alevi belief culture and the Alevi belief rituals need to be examined objectively. Because in Adıyaman there are some important Alevi Dedes and ocaks both of which are the keystones and the contds of Alevi culture. In this context,this study aimed to examine the historical origins, ocaks and the Alevi music belief rituals of Alevis living in Bulam town in Adıyaman province. In this study the Alevi music, which has great effect on the transfer of Alevi culture to new generations, and aşık, alevi, dede and the ocak concepts which have great effect on the transfer of oral tradition to the modern world, were studied.
