Kastamonu as the destination of faith tourism: The example of Hz.Pir Şeyh Şaban Veli

As seen in all the world societies from past to present, religious places of interest, which are the Centers of attraction of Turkish society, have an important place. In the historical process, human beings have believed in supernatural beings since the very ancient times and looked at it with holiness. This has been in close proximity to supernatural beings. The absolute purpose of the visitor is to reach the blessed and to feel it at the same time. In this direction, as seen in the excavations carried out nowadays, Kutsi buildings (sanctuary, mosque, tomb, mosque, etc.) which were made in ancient times and the traditional narrative types that emerged in time related to them (mythologies, folk tales, legends, epics, etc.) show this motive in human beings. In the tombs, one of the places seen as blessed, despite the centuries passing away from the death of people who are respected and indulged, the idea of being able to benefit human beings today has found a great place on the religiousness of the people and the cultural memory has shown continuity. The idea and desire to be close to the blessed have transformed these spaces into a sanctuary in a spiritual sense and allow people to turn into spiritual attraction points that they visit for different purposes, especially on blessed days and nights. The aim of this study is to examine the social, historical, tourist and religious belief tourism of the city in Kastamonu, and to determine the role of religious tourism, such as tomb, mosque and mosque, in the spiritual life and social life of the city. In this direction, a survey was conducted with the citizens in the Kastamonu province. According to the results of the survey data, the religious beliefs of the visitors to the tombs and mosques, their religious beliefs, their religious attitudes, their religious attitudes, their way of defining themselves and their awareness in the Kastamonu province of Khatti Shaykh Shabani and the effect on faith tourism were tried to be revealed. As a result, it was observed that people in the tourism of faith in Kastamonu province have a positive attitude and they are sensitive to faith tourism.
