Abstract (EN)
This study determines the personal, religious and social values in İncili Çavuş's anecdotes and mentions the affluence of the works in accordance with Values Educa-tion. As part of the main problem hypothesis, the importance and aim of this thesis are pointed out. The general features of the anecdote genre, the concept of instructional values and İncili Çavuş's characteristics are also mentioned in the conceptual frame-work. The researches about this subject take part in this framework. In the first phase of the study, A compilation of İncili Çavuş's anecdotes was formed with 135 anecdotes after analyzing the books and studies about İncili Çavuş. İncili Çavuş's anecdotes were examined based on the document analysis model of Qualitative Research Approach. In all, 40 findings of which five are religious, seven are social and twenty-eight are personal values have been reached, and then these find-ings have been interpreted. The values are exemplified with sentences, scripts and events from the anecdotes. Each of the values is rendered with the expressions "It is beneficial for the individuals, It is advised to be avoided, It is a positive suggestion for social life." by descriptive analysis technique. As a result of this research, it has been determined that İncili Çavuş's anecdotes are affluent works in accordance with Values Education and benefiting from İncili Çavuş's anecdotes would be appropriate in the point of values education.
