Synthesis of indole derivatives azachalcones

In this work some azachalcones with indol functionalitie (1,2) were synthesized tothe methods in the literatures. Epoxidation of this compounds give chalkon epoxides (3,4).The compound in this study were synthesised according to the known methods.The structures of the synthesized compounds were idendified using FT- IR, NMRtecniques.Antibacterial properties of the compounds synthesised (1,2) were investigatied.Moderate antimicrobial activity is seen for compound(3,4).
