Abstract (EN)

Indomethacin, classified as Class 2 in the Biopharmaceutical Classification System, emerges as an anti-inflammatory agent with low solubility and high permeability. Widely used in the treatment of various diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, this substance is well-known for its adverse effects, particularly on the stomach. Considering the structure of the gastrointestinal system, the targeted delivery of orally administered substances to the intestines and the release of the active substance in that region pose a challenge. To overcome this challenge and prolong the effect while mitigating possible side effects, in this thesis study, polymeric nanoparticles and solid lipid nanoparticles were developed using Eudragit® polymers and Dynasan® 116 lipid. Characterization studies of these developed formulations were conducted, their in vitro properties were determined, and ultimately, it was concluded that these developed formulations achieve effective release of the active substance in the intestine and prolong the release duration.
