Abstract (EN)
With this study, a multispectral (multi-band) camera integrated Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Multi-band) camera was integrated into the damage of Oriental chestnut gall wasp (Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu), which has caused serious damage to chestnut fields within the borders of Bursa Regional Directorate of Forestry İnegöl Forestry Operations Directorate in recent years. It is aimed to be mapped with the vehicle (UAV) according to its density and ecological characteristics. For this purpose, pure and mixed chestnut fields within the borders of İnegöl Forestry Management Directorate were determined as the study area. In our country, Oriental chestnut gall wasp (Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu) was detected for the first time in April 2014 in Yalova. It has been determined that Oriental chestnut gall wasp (Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu), which spreads from Yalova, also causes damage within the borders of İnegöl Forestry Management Directorate. Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu poses a high risk for chestnut honey production, which is an important income generating activity, due to the damage it causes to chestnut flowers. In a previous study, it was revealed that due to Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu damage, there was a 30% loss of chestnut component in the composition of honey, and if the damage exceeded 40% in chestnut trees, it was almost impossible to produce chestnut honey. In addition, Oriental chestnut gall wasp (Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu) can cause drying and death in chestnut trees with the damage they cause in chestnut forests. When looking at the general appearance of the stand, the damage can be seen with the naked eye. In this case, damaged plants can be detected by using plant vegetation indexes in our study. Therefore, in our study, UAV and multi-band camera were used to produce orthophotos.Flights have been made in the determined study area to produce orthophotos with the UAV. The UAV used in this study; It is DJI Matrice 210 V2. The multispectral camera brand and model integrated into the UAV is Micasense RedEdge MX. Photographs in ".jpeg" format are obtained separately for each of the five bands (red, green, blue, red edge and near infrared) of the multispectral camera. The photographs obtained from each flight area were processed separately in Agisoft Metashape Pro software and respectively, point cloud, digital surface model and orthophoto were produced. Various indices were produced by applying different combinations on the five banded orthophotos.Especially, NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) was used in the study to determine and map damage.
