Abstract (EN)
In this study, the relationship between conception and milk somatic cell count at the time of artificial insemination in cows was determined. A wide and comprehensive study covering the health status of the mammary gland, follicle diameter, SHS, and pregnancy examination has been presented. The material of the study consisted of 50 cows from the farms in Afyonkarahisar province, Bolvadin district and surrounding villages. 50 oestrus cows were used in the study. CMT was made from the milk of the cows at the time of estrus, 10 ml of milk was taken and the samples were sent to Afyonkarahisar Provincial Food Control Laboratory for SHS counting. Follicle diameter was measured before artificial insemination. Ovulation control was performed after 24 hours in artificially inseminated cows. Pregnancy control was performed 28-30 days after insemination in cows. Milk samples of those with positive mastitis were found to be significantly higher than those with negative SHS Mastitis (p < 0.0001). Ovulatory follicle diameters were measured to be smaller in Mastitis-positive animals than in Mastitis-negative animals. The difference between the ovulatory follicle diameters of the groups was not statistically significant (p < 0.136). After the ovulation control in the animals participating in the study, it was observed that there was no disruption in ovulation rates, and similar ovulation rates were observed in Mastitis positive and Mastitis negative animals. Ovulation occurred in 46 heads of 50 cows used in the study. It was determined that the pregnancy rate (17.85%) in mastitis-positive cows was lower than in Mastitis-negative cows (54.54%). As a result; It has been observed that the pregnancy rate is significantly reduced after artificial insemination in cows showing signs of estrus and subclinical mastitis. It was concluded that artificial insemination in cows should be done by investigating the presence of subclinical mastitis.
