Abstract (EN)
Parapoxirus ovis D1701 strain (IPPVO) paraimmun activator is used to prevent the cattle from subclinial mastitis in short term and to treat the cattles with subclinical mastitis. In the initial part of two-part experience the prophylactic effects of IPPVO were searched. A1 group (n=30) and A2 (n=30) were formed from Holstein breed cattles which were CMT (-) (n=60). IPPVO was used to A1 group on 0, 2 and 9th days whereas the same dose serum physiological was used to A2 group. In the milk samples collected from two groups on 0, 9, 15 and 30th days CMT, SCC and EC were evaluated. According to CMT results, no significant difference was deteceted statistically on days 0, 9 and 15 (P>0.05), whereas statistically significant difference was detected on 30 day. Due to SCC results no statistical difference was detected on day 0 and 9, but statistically significant difference was found on day 15 and 30th (P˂0.001). According to electrical conductivity no statistical difference was detected (P>0.05). In the second part of the experiment the efficiency of IPPVO on mastitis therapy was detected. B1 group (n=30), B2 group (n=30) and B3 group (n=30) were formed from Holstein breed cattles with subclinical mastitis (n¬¬=90). IPPVO was used on 0, 2, 4. days to B1 group. IPPVO and antibiotic were used on days, 0, 2 and 4. days to B2 group. Only antibiotic was used to B3 group. In milk samples collected from all groups on days 0, 9 and 15th days CMT, SCC and EC scores were measured. According to CMT scores and SCC results no statistical difference were found whereas statistically significant difference was deteceted for EC results on 9th day (P˂0.001) and on 15th day (P˂0.001). When the results were all evaluated IPPVO paraimmune activator was found effective in prophylaxy but not in therapy of subclinical mastitis.
