The influence of the aplication my dictionary, my notebook on the secondary school students vocabulary

In this research the aim is to see the effects of the application "My Dictionary, My Notebook" devoloped by the researchers on the secondary school students vocabulary and to submit same advices about improving the vocabulary at secondary school students. Research was performed on the 7th grade students of two public secondary schools in Afyonkarahisar in 2018-2019 educational year. According to the research plan which covered 12 weeks, the students of experimental group were ensured to form a dictionary involving the glossary not being known by the students of experimental group. In control group, Turkish Language lesson was proceeded, as in normal continuum, according to Turkish Language Teaching Curriculum. "Vocabulary Archievement Test" was applied to both experimental group and control group in collecting data period. According to research result, it is disclosed that the application of "My Dictionary, My Notebook" influenced the students vocabulary positively. According to the findings related to gender, it was found that this practice hade more effect on the vocabulary of female students than male students.
