Abstract (EN)
Purpose: To compare the stability values of two infrazygomatic crest screws with different neck lengths, the effect of gingival health, screw application angle, and sinus penetration depth on the stability values. Materials and Methods: This study included 38 patients (35 females, 3 males) with an average age of 15.97±1.53 who needed premolar extraction en masse retraction. In this study, long necks (total length 17 mm, intraosseous length 9 mm screws) were used on one side and short necks (total length 14 mm, intraosseous length 10 mm screws) were used on the other side. For repeated measurements, the significance test of the difference between the two pairs was used. Findings: While the increase in the stability values obtained after 2 months was found to be statistically significant, no statistical difference was observed in the other parameters. Results: The stability values and stability increase amounts of the short neck screws were found to be greater than the screws with long necks. The moments caused by the forces in the long screws reduce the stability. Gingival index, bleeding index, penetration depth and application angle did not cause a significant difference on the stability of the screw.
