Abstract (EN)

Many countries, especially European countries, tried to put forward various measures in order to prevent such a war with the destruction caused by World War II. Different ideas have been put forward in this direction. The Schuman Plan, the first phase of the European Union, is one of these ideas. According to the plan, coal and steel reserves are jointly planned by West Germany and France. Control of precious metals together was thought to be a factor in the prevention of new wars. The United Kingdom has not been involved in the founding of the community, now known as the European Union, according to some reason. In the meantime, it wanted to become a member of the Union by changing his policy. In the study, the European Union, which consisted of 6 members in the first place, and then 28 members, was examined. Two applications of the United Kingdom were not accepted. The process of joining the union with its next application was evaluated. In 2016, the decision on separation, the referendum process, relations and reasons for separation were investigated. While many countries, including Turkey, want to join the EU, it is aimed that the United Kingdom wishes to be excluded from this formation, to express the debates between the union itself, the reasons for a country's exit, and the dissatisfaction within the union itself.
