A right in between denial and recognition: Same-sex marriage

Marriage, which is consired to be a natural right, ensure a relationship to be recognized socially and officially by means of law. When the question of which social groups will be included in this public acceptance or in other words who will be the holder of the right to marry is replied, homosexual individuals are subject to unequal and different conditions because of their sexual orientation.Throughout the study it has been questioned whether there is a justified reason for heterosexual and homosexual individuals to be treated unequally in terms of having the right to marry within the frame of human rights perspective and the principles of right evaluation.
