Assesment of İnönü University School of Medicine's Research Assistants Stress Loads Objective: One of the professions which has extreme stress and especially organizational stress is medicine. In this research, it was aimed to evaluate the organizational stress situations of İnönü University School of Medicine's research assistants. Methods: In this study, sociodemographic data form and short version organizational stress scale were used for data collection. It was applied at the Inönü University school of medicine to research assistants who had face to face work with patients between 01.12.2020 and 04.02.2020. Ethics committee approval for this research was received from Malatya Clinical Research Ethics Committee on 01.12.2020 with the decision number 2020/1276. Universe of research is 350 research assistants. It's calculated that at least 183 research assistants have to be reached with 95% confidence interval and 5% margin of error for the sample size. This research have completed with 185 research assistants who was willing to join. Spss for win 20 was used fort he considering and stastical analysis from the findings. Datas were shown form of average, standard deviation, number and percent. chi-square analysis was used to compare of categorical data. Mann-Whitney U test was used when binary metric data that do not conform to normal distribution. Spearman correlation analysis was used to compare the two measurement data. Significance level was evaluated at the p <0.05. Results: The average age of participants was found 29.5 ± 3.1 (24-49). 121(65.4%) of the research assistants were from internal medical sciences and 64 (34.6%) were from surgical medicine sciences. The score that males got from the "workload" sub-dimension was found significantly higher than females (p=0.018). The "workload" sub-dimension (p <0.001) and total score of the scale (p = 0.029) of those working in the surgical department were found significantly higher than those working in the internal department. In the correlation analysis, it was found that there is a positive significant relationship between age and year of study. A positive significant relationship was found between the number of patients cared for per day and the "workload" sub-dimension, the "skill use" sub-dimension, the "decision making" sub-dimension and the total score of the scale. Conclusion: In this research, it was found that males have more workload stress, and those working in the surgical branch have more organizational stress. Likewise, it was observed that organizational stress increased with the increase in the number of patients cared for. In order to reduce the organizational stress of doctors whose working in the hospital, it will be helpful to make improvements in the number of patients cared for per day and to reduce the workload by the help of auxiliary health personnel.
