Innovation and performance:the mediating effect of organizational learning and technological capability

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between the types of innovation such as service innovation, process innovation, management innovation and school performance. Additionally, whether or not there is a mediator role of technological capability and organizational learning on performance will be the focus of this study.Instead of meaningless activities and applications at school which has been thought as the best way to increase the school performance, searching the effect of technological capability and organizational learning on school performance by analyzing the role of types of innovation is the main research subject of this work. Education institutions have to be aware of environmental developments and ready to improve novelties that are proper for the environmental problems to build sustainable schools. Since change and development are uninterrupted process innovation is essential tool to adopt new progress on this stage. That's why innovation and school performance should be analyzed together to provide new improvements and exist long term in education sector. Besides focusing only one type of innovation is not proper way to increase school performance to transform whole institution in terms of educational improvements. The power of technological capability and organizational learning to create innovation in learning organizations which is being significant at learning and thereby the effect of these variables on school performance is main goal of this research. This research has been conducted in public high schools, medium and high scaled ones, in Istanbul. Totally 306 principals and teachers were interviewed. Independent variables are service innovation, management innovation, process innovation and technological ability whereas school performance is dependent variable of this study. Reliability analyze, factor analyze, correlation analyze and regression analyze has made by using SPSS 20.00 program.
