Abstract (EN)
In this study; a methodology was developed for choosing the optimum network by considering the effects of alternative material usage on a construction project's time, cost and quality, and applied to a case study. In this context; time and cost were considered as an input where quality as an output of the projects. In this sense; alteration or maintenance and heating energy costs, which will occur during the lifetime of a building, were calculated as the measurable quality indicators of the projects. For the heating energy cost the TS825 Isı Yalıtımı Hesaplama V 4.0 software was used while new software was developed for the other calculations. The new software simply creates the networks which satisfy the time and budget criterion of a project by evaluating alternative materials, and calculates the time, cost and alteration or maintenance cost of them. For a realistic assessment, the data of the case study was prepared by the company official who also executed the project. During the selection of the optimum network process, the networks in the solution set were compared in pairs by also including subjective evaluations and the improper one was eliminated. The results have revealed that alternative material usage has affected the time, cost and quality of the case project significantly. In addition; it is believed that in case of determining the projects criterion accurately, the optimum network can be selected in a very short time by using the new developed methodology.
