Abstract (EN)

The family, which is the smallest structure of the society, has been protected by various legal regulations, especially the Constitution. Protection of the family can be considered as protection of the society on the one hand and protection of the people who grow up in the family on the other hand. When the international agreements and national regulations established in line with the importance given to the family are examined, article 232 of the Turkish Penal Code, which is the subject of the study, is also found. In this thesis, which consists of three chapters, two different types of crime covered by the regulation will be discussed. In this context, studies will be carried out within the framework of the rights of children and women who are members of their families protected by international agreements. In examining the crime of ill-treatment, the concepts in the regulation and title will be mentioned. In this context, the concepts of family, violence, compassion, mercy, kindness will be tried to be understood. As a result of all the examinations, it will be discussed whether the regulation provides effective protection for children, women and family.
