Abstract (EN)
As a result of the development of internet technologies, social media has increased its political awareness and has included social events. People from all over the world now see and follow more of the problems and events occurring everywhere. This has greatly increased awareness of living standards and global inequalities in political and social rights and freedoms. One of the most effective and voluminous fields of work in social media is human rights. In recent years, social media has become the mainstream media of public communication on the one hand, and if we go further, we see that it also influences and changes the patterns of communication, interaction and advocacy in human rights issues. The starting point of Women's Rights is human rights. Women's human rights do not constitute a separate category from human rights or a subcategory of human rights. The point of this study is that social media and online channels are effective in the struggle for women's rights in Iran. The examples of this study were determined by using content analysis method in the field of communication and the social media reflections of the struggle for women's rights in Iran. For this reason, the photos of the Revolution Square girls' protest movement on Instagram were handled by content analysis method between December 27, 2017 and February 22, 2018.
