Abstract (EN)
The East African Community is a Community consisting of six countries: Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda and Tanzania. These countries have signed treaties and conventions relating on human rights. The problems related to human rights in these countries need to be examined scientifically. In this context, arrangements on human rights in Africa have been examined. The content of our thesis includes definitions, human rights concepts, mechanisms, appeals channels, application conditions and Information about the decisions of the African Court of Human Rights. In the thesis, basic rights in the constitutions made by countries of East Africa Community are examined. İn fact, the legislative bodies of each of these countries examined in detail the definitions of human rights concepts, the applicability of these rights, the organs which is responsible for protecting these rights, the progress of these rights, and the theoretical attempts by these governments to implement human rights.
